Took it shopping today. Had some guy in an older impala with a hood scoop catch me at a light and rev. Promptly pushed his shit in. went to kohls and bought slacks. Went home.

 

Moved it over 2 ft in the garage to make room for cutting cabinet trim / materials. I got 3 weeks off so once the kitchen is wrapped up going to take it out in the early mornings for a cruise before the crazies get on the road!
Got a Hitachi brand IAC coming from Rock Auto today or tomorrow to replace the jobber part from my local part store. Slap that on and see how it reacts.

 

I received my shocks back from Vi-king Friday. I had them inspect/fix them since the truck sat for so long.

While putting those on yesterday, I installed all new Energy Suspension bump stops and Sway bar bushings/hardware.

I installed some very low mile stock coil springa to remedy my driver side being lower than the passenger side in the front. Unfortunately, I did not help.

I reinstalled my Aero force interceptor gauge that I had repaired. While that are was apart, i decided to fix my truck needing the shifter pushed up to stset. I inspected the shift column bushing those looked great. Then, all I did was loosen the black thing onside the trans, tilt it more and tighten it down.

I did manage to drop a screw in there that prevented me from shifting out of drive. That was fun.

I next on the list this week is all new spark plugs and change out the fuel filter.

Got up early, slapped some baseboards on in the kitchen, sipping some coffee. Going to look at lighting and backsplash ideas. Weapon of choice for errands today is the Lightning. Looking good still from our cities recent Car Show Weekend.

Big thanks to @GEN2LIGHTNING for helping me install the hotchkis leafs. Ended up tweaking something in my back when loading up tools to knock it out at his house, so he did 99% of the work.

Had to grind down jlp shackles to clear the leaf spring on the highest setting.
On smooth roads with strange shocks on 7th setting it rides amazing. But when on rough roads it's pretty bumpy. However it sits just how I wanted it!

Might have made him consider the stifflers traction bars when he helped reattach them.

So going from the 03 leafs with jlp shackles at lowest setting to hotchkis leafs and jlp shackles at highest setting it dropped about 2 1/4"

Lowered mine some more on the rear. Truck sits at 25.750” from the lip of the wheel to the fender all the way an around .

 

i put in that expensive metra kit to make my radio more flush. it is a lot harder than any metra kit i've used before. the radio still sits about 3/8" back from where i want it so have to adjust again. there is just no way to accurately figure out the depth it sits in.

 

Where did you get the billet for your a/c control panel and shifter?? looks great!

 

i also cleaned up my rims as much as i could. they are daily's so not too worried about this set. put on some saleen caliper covers. tire well is a pit. i need to find some oxford white close spraypaint.

After working out some kinks Its been a blast to drive so decided to bring it to work. Early start so I am sure the neighbors enjoyed the 4am rumble down the street. Love the echo of the blower whine off the buildings downtown!
