I just pulled mine apart this last friday ... 1st time ever. It's a sinch; just drain the fluid of be prepared when you break the seal between the snout n rotor pack that the supercharger fluid will come out. It will probably take a few whacks to get the rotor pack to come out; mine was stuck to the case. Nothing big though?!:smt102

just be careful not to drop the snout or be prepared to replace the pulley ($100+):shocked003

its 3 pieces bro, you wont get dirty if you separte it from the 2 groove closes to the pack, and hold the rotors when you do just in case, its very easy

and im sure you can do this just dont be nervoues or you will mess up

Hey Posi what are your turnarounds on the Cases if i just send it and i know the midplate is included to. if i take it apart what to i have to replace when i put it back together.

 

Turn around is 3-5 days once it's in the shop. If it's a daily driver and the outside of the box is marked we can do it faster most of the time. I'd call Tousley on the gaskets. Ask for Steve and he'll let you know 1-800-328-9552.

I reused the gaskets on my car like 7 times before finally replacing them but I'm not sure if the L's have the same good gaskets from Ford. I would think they do but I can't say for sure. Another reason I wish I had a Lightning.

 

How do the rotors slide out of the case? i need to take mine out so they can be cleaned. s/c is off and the snout is off,now i need to get the rotors out.

Hey guys wanted to know if anyone has ever swapped the rotors on the eaton. upon cleaning my s/c-the rotors had a paint that was on them-

to claen the case thuroughly and the rotors i have romoved the snout- and to my suprise i have found my gears up on the s/c have been marked as if the have been timed to a set location and after roving some of the paint the s/c rotors have been polished.

i am in need of this info need to get truck back up and running asap

I have the front snout off. how do i get the case off from the rotor mid section?

i am at a point where this is starting to bother me. i want this done and i am at a loss.

i just dont want to pry on the wrong way and mess something up.

 

Should have taken the rotors out with the snout, much easier IMO. Seems like you pried on the joint closest to the pulley, when you could have pried on the joint closest to the case and removed it as one unit. As MPORT stated, there are small cutouts in the metal where you can pry from. I used an oil filter wrench (because the width of the "claw" was almost perfect), and pried outward. You will have to work one side, then the other, but it should come off rather easily.

 

There are little ledges on the bottom corners between the rotor plate and case. Use something like a crescent wrench handle(rubber grip) to gently pry the pack out. Work it a little from side to side.

 

the 'paint' is a coating that peels off, get some aircraft stripper and it will remove all the coating, the rotors are 'polished' from the factory!!
