After a lot of searching on here I've got a question for the experts.
First things first. '95 L 150K miles, all stock. Bought back in July and drove 800 miles from Austin, TX to Nashville, TN. On the trip the trans would shift fine in stop and go traffic but after extended highway speeds it would down-shift hard and up-shift extremely hard with more rpm's to get it to shift.
The speedo doesn't bounce at all, and no check engine or ABS light.
I've reset the tps and it seemed to help with stop & go city driving. However it still will act up and shift hard after extended highway speeds or when I put push it hard. It goes away after a few cycles of normal driving without having to reset the computer. Could this be the MLPS? This is my first L so i'm not sure exactly how these trucks feel stock. I suspect the trans has been out at some point... the pan has some scrapes like it was drug out at least once, but no documentation to prove. BTW, the fluid is very clean and doesn't smell burnt.
Any suggestions appreciated. :smt023
