Which of these is the VMP TVS and which is the M122 TVS?
Whats the difference? And which is better? Just trying to get schooled! And to figure out my next SC!!:woohoo:rockon_ford

top one is the TVS. 4 lobe 160* twist rotors vs. 2 lobe 60* twist rotors

The VMP TVS should be the best TVS made currently. It by far has the largest inlet and the newest design. A TVS only responds to porting by simply opening up the inlet. With the VMP one its opening is a lot larger than you can make the Ford Racing one. Large inlet equals instant throttle response and enough air to feed those rotors. Which for Lightnings should be a good fit or it sure does seem so to me.

Instant sounds good. :smt023So if I got this right,4 lobes more twist=more compression/power?:smt102 With supporting mods and the adaptor of course. And it cost less than Whipple/KB?:smt102
And its off a :rockon_ford? Even if its not off a:rockon_ford. Sure sounds good to me. Like to see if this could go rounds with the two big boys! We might be on to something big here:bigtu:woohoo

That's your answer Fasty? Adapter plates are neither here nor there?! :laughing25

Cheaper than a new KB or Whipple, but probably not a used one. It would be marginal and all depends on the price of the adapter.

Can't wait to see the final product and some results... so you can get started on a Whipple 2.9 adapter :ahhhh

A M122 is not a TVS any more than a M112 is. There is a TVS 1900, and a TVS 2300. The LSA uses a TVS 1900 while the LS9, and 2013 GT500 uses a TVS 2300. Obviously different cars use different housings, but the rotors should be pretty much the same.

Here's a thread I made on the TVS 2300 subject a few months ago.

Look at this. On a street truck I would rather have a TVS 2300 than a Twin Screw.

its just the thing im doing jim. i dont make sense a lot lol.

but, when Im done, if I find a SRT10 or something at the track thats scared to race, I'll just say "its just slow ford stuff with a pulley and long tube's"..."see, stock ford blower, stock ford top end, stock ford bottom end" [smilie=om

that being said, the 2013 TVS I plan on going to throws a slight wrench into my plans there

I'm anxious to see how efficient the 2013 GT500's factory TVS 2300 is, and how much it can be worked over.

I'm sure Posi is too. :rockon_ford

Very nice. I like the one piece design that replaces the stock mid plate, I am currently working on an adapter that will bolt a GT500 M122 or TVS2300 to bolt onto the stock midplate.

posi got the numbers off both blower shafts too, ill be running a 4lb lower with 2.76 upper, shortblock has stock pistons (low mileage), brand new eagle rods, new bearings, rings, arp goodness, etc etc. Will just stick with stock heads/cams since im broke as Fuk after paying engine builder, paying steve friday, and paying for projector beam headlights. this schit costs too much, I need to go back to playing guitar and drinking heavily....

hoping to smack about 540 or lil more to the ground. we shall see
