Eastwood's NEW Fuel Guard formula helps protect your car and truck from disastrous results! Hello, my name is J.R. and I have a problem with alcohol…

Eastwood's Fuel Guard additive system prevents the harmful effects caused by Ethanol like corrosion, gumming and resin build-up. Use Fuel Guard Protection formula on trimmers, lawn mowers, and ATVs in addition to cars and trucks with every fill-up and Fuel Stabilizer formula for storage up to 12 months. BUY NOW >

This past spring I went to fire up the old weed-whacker and after about 20 pulls I realized that the lawn chores were going to take a back seat to a quick "small engine tear-down". After checking the obvious culprits, I began ripping into the carb and what do I find? Sludge, crud and some unidentifiable sticky stuff. I traced it back to the plastic fuel tank and found the same bong-like resin in there too. Short on time and a gift card burning a hole in my wallet, I headed out and bought a new trimmer and finished the chores. End of story, right? Nope. Later in the week I tell a buddy about my ordeal and he said he had the same issue with his tractor. After a few days of "small-engine bench racing," I find out more and more people were having similar issues with ATVs, mowers, motorcycles, boats, and more! I'm beginning to see a pattern here. They don't call me Captain Obvious for nuthin'! I begin with a simple web search and discover it's the Ethanol in our gasoline. And what I learned over the next few weeks would amaze me… Ethanol is an organic alcohol fuel additive made from domestically grown crops. E10 (10% Ethanol) has been added to most of our retail gasoline to reduce dependency on oil. Ethanol and water readily dissolve within each other. When the two reach their maximum saturation point, the water separates and is released into the fuel. This is called Phase Separation and can occur in as little as 30 days—How long has
Once the water is released into the system, corrosion begins; performance drops and impurities begin to coagulate into sludge.

Ethanol-corroded 2-stroke lawn mower engine! Image Credit: ConsumerReports.orgThe second stage of the Ethanol attack is alcohol. Ethanol-alcohol will deteriorate plastic and rubber components in your carburetor, fuel pump, fuel injectors, and fuel lines. Ethanol does not favor engine size, year, make or model. In fact, it's even deadlier for 2-stroke engines. A fuel system with a gas-oil mix relies on the oil for lubrication. Ethanol molecules attach themselves to metal components and prevent the oil from lubricating internal engine components and Kaplowie, seizure occurs.
"What can we do to combat the evils of Ethanol?" I asked. I contacted some chemist friends and we developed Eastwood's Fuel Guard™, two unique formulas to beat the E10 monster.
Features & Benefits:

Prevents Ethanol Phase Separation and the harmful effects of Ethanol Blended Fuels
