Need a little help here. I need to get a signal from the A/C switch to signal my elec. fan to turn on when A/C is on. Where is the best place to tap into for this? Where is the A/C switch located?

I'm picking my brain but I installed my Flex-A-Lite fans more than seven years ago and for the life of me I dont recall how my fans receive the AC signal.

I recommend tracing the wires back from the AC compressor to the wiring harness, then use a test light to verify which one is the switch source.

I was hoping somebody would know so I wouldn't have to do that, the compressor is buried pretty good and not that easy to access and trace wires. But, if I can't get an answer thats what I'll have to do.

You might try the low pressure switch on the passenger side near the heater area. Use a meter to see if power is there only when the a/c is turned on.

Thanks for the help guys. I found that the A/C cycling switch is located on top of the accumulator/drier. Now I'm not sure if that's the best place to get a signal or 41 or 69 in the pin out diagram. I would like the fan to run the whole time the A/C is on and not just when the compressor is cycling.

Turn on the AC and use the test light to check the wires for pins 41 and 69 to see if either receives constant power while the compressor cycles.

PM already returned.

Tap into the coil relay. I would not tap into the low pressure switch. Relay is location C1008 in the BJB. Pin 5. Gray/White wire.

Battery junction box

load side of fuse 13 under the hood. basically that just taps in series with the switch side of the relay.
