the part identification probably refers more to price class/group of the truck
buy the spendy truck..need spendy parts..part of the reason ford always wants the vin at the parts counter

know why part numbers get superceded?
because the price changes
they issue a new number so you give the right ..new..price from the right new price list
no other reason 95% of the time
