You sure its the control module and not one of the wheel sensors?

I would put zero trust in the Amazon unit. And the rock auto doesn't specify lightning.

there's no shortage of brake controlers on the internet used or refurbed
and
I've never seen a listing specifically for a lightning
why would there be
it's just the standard abs controler for all half ton trucks
if it's more than 300 bucks..keep lookin

1) the lightnings has a different part number. 2) it's calibrated different for the brakes and tires. 3) the abs unit even says lightning on it.

but
if it actually mattered..you wouldn't be able to add even bigger brakes without changing it somehow would you
the part identification probably refers more to price class/group of the truck
buy the spendy truck..need spendy parts..part of the reason ford always wants the vin at the parts counter
know why part numbers get superceded?
because the price changes
they issue a new number so you give the right ..new..price from the right new price list
no other reason 95% of the time
but

Lots of vehicles have different braking and traction control calibrations for sport models of standard vehicles. It's got nothing to do with cost.
A lightning wasn't spendy.
A spec'd out lariat was more money.

They get changed because vendors change
Parts are redesigned due to issues
I work in aviation and we deal with engineering changes to parts that revise the number all the time.
Just last night I was installing a new engine driven hydraulic pump shut off valve. The part number on my valve didn't match the drawing. They'd superceded the part number but hadn't updated the drawing.
Why did it change? Because the part was revised by the vendor.

and yes lightning ,lariet , king ranch, all the fancy up scale models..DIFFERENT price range than a standard v6 every thing deleate tradesman's type truck
meaning you'll pay more for a caddilac lug nut compared to a chevy one even though they may come out of the same parts bucket
there will be a caddy price and a chevy one

no I'll grant the lightning module MIGHT be model specific,
.. BECAUSE all lightnings are rear disc brake
THAT's likely why..
where as if I go to the dealer and ask for one to fit my lariet I'll likely have an option of two modules

Do you know how many parts Ive dealt with?
Redesigned auto parts while working as a mechanic?
Revised vendors while in the military necessitating a new part number.
Hell we just had to revise our manual on cleaning parts prior to electrical bonding because the vendor changed the name of the fucking wipes we use.
Trying to say a difference in part number simply to change cost is fucking idiotic.

peeps PRESUME the auto part is somehow upgraded..or changed
but no
they don't sell oil caps now for the1997 price..
how do you think they keep things straight
by changing the number that APPEARS ONLY on the updated price sheet
did this for a living buddy ..I DO know what the ... I'm saying

We have the same brakes as a expedition. Maybe it’s the same ABS stuff to. Just a thought
