I don't lose a moments sleep over the stupid ev.s I sleep a good 7 to 8 hours every night. Wake up needing to pee like a race horse in the morning. And I don't dabble in stonks. It's your money, you want to buy stawks, go for it.
I''ve already witnessed a house in a neighborhood I used to live in, burned to the ground. And the investigation blamed it on an electric car charging in the garage, with no one keeping an eye on it. If they hadn't had the ev, they would still have their house. And more importantly, all the personal possessions that were in it when it burned to the ground. What a nightmare. No, they no longer have an ev. Guy that owned the house said "NEVER AGAIN!"
A recent Gallup poll had more than 50% of eve owners said, "Never again!" Place I go to get my hair cut, very cute Vietnamese lady. owns a 2015 Tesla Model S. She said when I asked her, that when it's time for new batteries, it's outta here, and Never Again. Friend, his brother and the wife both have Model 3.s. They both plan on losing them at battery time, and Never Again. It's funny about that. Own one, then Never Again. LMAO!!

GM just announced they are investing a billion dollars into new ICEs...they ve bout had enough of the ev crap too. Its a hoax, all of em. I built my house custom in 2018, we included a rather lg circuit in my garage between both doors for a future EV should the wife decide to want/need one! Meanwhile, my 800+ hp chevelle and 550+ hp Lightning will be sitting inside! Its all about balance in life, lol

It's funny, because as of this year, Mopar was to discontinue the Challenger and Charger, to make room to build stupid evs. And GM was supposed to cancel the Camaro for the same reason. Now you say they are investing in building more ic vehicles. Things That Make Yu Go Hmmmmm.
They can invest all they want in ICE's, that doesn't mean they will sell. What will keep ICE's relevant (if anything) is whether they remain more convenient and cheaper to operate overall than electric alternatives...... If GM and the like think things are going to go on "status quo", with small incremental efficiency wins and self driving that is geo-fenced to only a few perfectly mapped highways, they are in for a nasty surprise.
If you think GM, ford, or dodge can offer an ICE with a 2 second 0-60 that never needs an oil change and gets >100mpg for around $100k then there is plenty of reason to think they will keep building ICE's indefinitely... if not, there are going to be some major changes coming shortly.
