Black box with 8 lights on the front looks like it runs to the wires at the top of plugs. Tryin to attach pics.

That's not factory equipment. Since it runs to the COPs it may be some sort of a timing retard like the J&S Electronics Safeguard (Vampire) or the MD Racing Lean Protection Module.

I agree its not a J&S product, but back in 2009 before John offered the dual knock retard/knock finder gauge I planned on buying the Safeguard and gauge but I also wanted to know what cylinders were knocking. I intended to turn the useless cubby hole above my radio into an LED display so I would be able to see what cylinder were experiencing detonation. John and I discussed my intentions extensively and he was willing to provide me with eveything needed but I ended up selling Belle. When I bought her back I was estatic to see that he started making the dual gauge because its such a great gauge.

In consideration of John's willingness to work with me I know he most likely would have worked with someone else to make a one-off piece like the one posted by the OP.
