what does it take to put a 15 inch rim (for slicks) on our Ls..

i had a guy wanting to sell 28x10.5 r 15 to me for 100 dollars for 2.

they had plenty of meat left on them. and he only has like 1or2 runs on them....

i know you have to shave your caliper but how much......

You have to shave quite a bit But I've had mine done for 2 years and no problems. You can buy alot more types of slicks for 15 inch rims than 16's.

I don't think its worth the hassle of shaving the brakes there are some deals on 16's out there

To do the brakes the right way, and the way it was done on my truck it is a real pain in the ass

You have to take everything apart. The bracket that holds the caliper on has to be modified, to move the caliper in. Then you grind the caliper, cut down the rotor, slightlly modify the brake pads, and then put everything back together.

I know tou can just grind the crap out of the caliper, but that isn't the way to do it right.
