Havent had much time to mess with the truck all summer but got the new engine broke in and beat on it a lil for the first time. Pulls hard up to about 4500 then kinda goes flat. Still pulls rpms but doesn't feel right. The cams are pretty rowdy bullet grinds...this thing should be making power and pulling hard at 4500. It almost sounds like its pinging above 4500. just a peculiar pinging that goes away as soon as it shifts. And when it shifts it starts pulling hard again. Springs are matched to the cams and no bind. Only 13 degrees of timing and it doesn't seem to matter if I add or pull timing. Datalog shows iats at under 150, intercooler pump is working, no flag on the knock sensor. make a hit and coasted back and pulled plugs and they look good, actually looks like it wants more timing but im being safe for now. Im on 93 oc with meth at about 16 psi. If anyone has any ideas Im open to suggestions. Thanks in advance.
