Hey all, its about that time to crank up my motor and the "Theft" light is blinking. How do I get this off, and will my motor still start with this blinking?

You will not be able to start the engine with the theft light on. you will have to get the IDS system ( I think that is the nomeclature) reset. You will have to find someone with the scan tool that will rest the instrument cluster. I had this done once with another L and after putting in the code to reset the instument cluster it has worked perfect ever since. The anti-theft system runs through the computer and then through the instrument cluster and if you insturment cluster gets fried then you will have to buy a new one and that is expensive becuase they will have to take yours and then transfer the information off of it because of the odometer they have to get that correct and the only place that works on them is in California.

Thanks, Pat used his scanning tool and I believe he reset it and everything is ok for now. Just waiting to see if I thow any codes now as my new tune is installed and heard my truck for the first time in months.
