Long long story (ya like I can say anything short), heheheheh

SHORT VERSION:
Weather report changed to DEF rain in the afternoon
Gates didn't open till 12:00 (rain expected in afternoon hours)
I THOUGHT the window was going to be a short one so V and
me agreed the best thing was to run it hot straight off the 150 mi ride
there. We also decided to make it WITHOUT DOING ANYTHING other
than slicks. NO WEIGHT REDUCTION, NO COOL DOWN, NO NOTHING.
I had AT LEAST a hundred extra lbs on top of that in Tools, Cooler, Camera's,
Air Comp, track crap, etc....

So since I HAVE NOT been able to run another 11 since that
OH SO PERFECT DAY, and have actually gone backwards to 12.1
and 12.0, the last few times out, I decided the 100HP jets were
going in. :D

You have to remember that the new kit DOES NOT launch at 100%,
so for @ 1/5th of the run you are less HP than the zex @75HP.
(60HP to be exact). You also have to remember I am using a
exact 2 to 1 ratio of Fuel to Nitrous with my jetting, that is more fuel
than the Zex jetting ratio and my guess is the over all difference is prob
@15-20 HP more for SOME of the run, CLEARLY NOT ALL OF IT.

Of course the reason I bought the Race Tested Kit, is because of these
adjustments and tunability options I didn't have with my former Zex Kit.
(Plus I was maxed out at 75HP with Zex, and I needed MORE, my kit
was a 55/65/75 HP)

So the goal was consistant 11's

and the results were

2 passes,
and 2 FRESH NEW 11's,
WOO HOO

Denny, the Race Tested Kit WAS FLAWLESS
It gave me something ZEX COULDN'T FOR 2 YEARS
11 fist time out
ran faster the second run (32 minutes later. idle'd for @15 in the lanes)
AND TWO 11's in a row, 1 better than the next, WOO HOO......

Best part of course is WE KNOW I can take an EASY 200lbs
out of it, and with a PROPER cool down, I GRRNTY we got 2/10 - 3/10's waiting for me JUST THE WAY IT IS :smt041
(going again Nov 5th)
I AM 101% HAPPY WITH YOUR SYSTEM, IT ROCKS
THANK YOU PAL :smt023

Terry, I LOVE the new Pulley's
I looked down @ 2/3 into the run, and the Boost WAS INSANE
There were TWO people at the track with Belt Slipping I ran into, one
I drove there with, he actually took it off, and was trying to get the
lines people to give him VHT for the Belt :D
(the sticky stuff they put down)
Of course I took him over to my Truck and had him feel the grooves
in your Non Slip Upper, he was digging the 100MM pulleys too.
Worked amazing, I def had MASSIVE BOOST today, Great Product,
I'm more than Happy, Thank You Too

And Thank You Johnny Lightning and Sue
I spend the day with Johnny, Sue and the Crew, I'll talk about that
in a diff post.

nough said................
I'm REAL HAPPY cause I know I left a lot on the table today, WOO HOO...

That's great Rob. I will definitely go the same way if I do nitrous. I can't wait for an eleven second run.

That's a huge relief. :D

You just never know what's going to happen until you have proof. Like you said, your jetting is way rich also and there is a lot to be gained by leaning out a bit.

You may also pick up a tenth or so when you swap to a Maximiser. The key benefits will be:
a) Delaying the nitrous solenoid only, so you can bring down that initial a/f spike.
b) Having a start power build time go all the way down to .3 seconds
c) Have a max flow of 95%. This will keep the soelnoids pulsing which energizes the nitrous bottle and keeps pressure from dropping as much. This way you don't run as rich at the end of a run and keep power up.

As you say also Rob, the kit is designed to provide great results on the street applications. Besides slicks, you ran your truck 100% as you would otherwise and got great results. Anyone can make a best run with a lot of prep, but hot off the freeway and loaded down to make a run you are happy with is awesome. Your results and gratitude is what we do this for.

How bout if I told you I got through Tech Inspection WITHOUT
even getting out of my Truck, OR Opening the Hood :D
It's not, who you know, it's WHO you go with ;)

Terry/Denny, I could say sorry I didn't do better, HOWEVER
I know my Truck, and BELIEVE me we left AN EASY
2 to 3/10th's on the table, for that I am sorry to myself

Here's what we do know,
I drove @ 120 miles to V's, shut it off just long enough for it
to get even hotter, then drove in massive traffic for a while,
then shut it off for Breakfast, then drove it again. Got to the track
@ 12-ish, made it through the Tech Line, Said our hello's, and FINALLY
parked it @ 12:30. Maybe 10 minutes later we had to move all the L's
together. Then maybe 10 minutes later we were putting slicks on,
not less than 10 more minutes and I see all the Lightning's were
pulling away, I WAS LIKE HELLO WHERE WE GOING NOW ???
They were like THEY JUST CALLED OUR CLASS

Here I was with like 15lbs of air in my Slicks, which had been sitting
since spring, and haven't been heat cycled in god knows how long.
So I watch them all drive away as I'm now in a frantic panic, because I
haven't even empty'd the truck or took the helmet from the back yet.
I find my compressor and start filling, end up over filling to @20-21 lbs,
jump in and start it again, (still hot and @ normal operating temp)
I drive to the staging lanes, hop out, pop the hood and I'd say within
3 minutes, they call us up to the line
Again I'm in a frantic rush because I haven't even turned the system
on YET, and remember at the last second, I haven't even opened the
Bottle

I hop out and open the tail gate and turn it on, jump back in,
and put a helmet on, and I'm saying to myself, I HAVE NEVER IN MY
LIFE BEEN RUSHED SOOOOOOOO FAST INTO A RUN, (I was not expecting
good results) With in a minute later here I am doing my Smokey,
and lining up with V. WAM I cut a 1.6 60ft and run the 11.9.
(as you see that was at 1:26. We took our time coming back around, let
some cars pass us, V stopped on the scales and weighed in, I followed
him back to the pits, I get out and open the Hood, and within 10-15
minutes, THEY CALL US UP AGAIN )*[email protected]^(@$%)@$%@()$%@$%@)($
Truck is now heat soaked and at full weight plus an easy extra hundred
OR SO lb's. AND I RUN BETTER AND FASTER, notice the time 1:58PM
WOO HOO THE WIZARD ROCKS

Then V wanted to de-weight it and wait till the Class was called for
the real racing @ 4ish. But I looked up and saw it was going to rain soon,
so I said NA, I'M HAPPY AS A PIG IN SCHITT, I'm putting my street tires
back on. We did and within minutes later it started raining.
I THOUGHT I made the right choice, except it stopped and
eventually the racing continued, it had 3 rain delays I believe through
out the rest of the Day.

More facts are this
Zex ET's went something like this and in this order
(remember I usually only make 1 or 2 runs per track day, so this
was spread out over 2 years in this order
12.0
12.0
12.2
12.7 (schitty Track)
12.5 (schitty Track)
12.8 (schitty Track)
12.3 (GREAT RUN for schitty Track)
11.81
12.1
12.0

There were also a couple of runs I had to get off and give up,
(due to my old Bars and Wheel Hop). So I'd say the average was clearly
@ 12.0 - 12.1, and it took @8 runs to FINALLY get the 1st AND ONLY 11

BUT NOW THAT HAS ALL CHANGED, YOUR SYSTEM ROCKS BRO [smilie=bow.gif]

And Terry I had so much got dam boost, I was afraid the head was
going to come through the Hood, WOO HOO..........
These Non Slip Pulleys and the over size 100MM Idler Arms ARE AMAZING
:smt026

BTW I now have a new style, New Revolution Diablo 4 Bank Tuning Chip,
and I believe once we tweak THAT, 11.5's ARE DEF POSSIBLE,
WOO HOO
THANKS GUYS :smt023

Ahh, but Boost is good, as long as you do not over do it with using to much Nitrous on a "Stock Bottom End"

I agree with Terry, watch those high boost numbers. I'd be happier if you turned the boost down and ran more nitrous to get a best time as the motor would be stay safer.

Are you ready to have the fastest stock block L now? Time ti increase the jet:razz:

If only all customers could be like you Rob. Nothing but smiles and easy going. :)

Rob,
What was your bottle pressure for your runs? Did you even have time to heat the bottle up?

Denny, I was talking to Greg (EZGZ) off line this morning and
THAT WAS EXACLTY WHAT I SAID. That is the magic of Terry's
System, the flexibility to switch back and fourth and add and delete
2 lbs. Terry knows that, we talked about it, thats why I bought
2 non slip pulleys ;)

Next time out I will try the first run with 2 less lbs of boost
using Terry's 2.93 Upper, instead of the 2.80.
With the correct conditions, I can STILL go faster :D
and expect to ;)

At the Fords of E-town Sunday.

Johnny ran an 10.09 @ 135, Rob (JLP) ran a 10.57 , Charlie ran a 10.70 and JJ ran a 10.88.

The track and weather was Perfect for running a number. Everybody, and I mean Everybody was running the fastest they have ever run.

My normal 12.00 set-up was giving me 11.72s.

VINNIE
Yesterday I beat Vinnie with a 11.9, and later ran someone else and
ran 11.8. Yesterday Johnny was running 10.6's, today those people ran MUCH FASTER due to cooler temps @*$^)@$%@)%)@[email protected]_$^@)$%@$
24 more friggign hours, and I would have had an easy 11.5-11.6
