well, it's getting close to time on finishing up the truck.

looking to get near as possible to 500/600

i live in MS, so there is absolutely nothing around here. i think the closest guys are JMS in alabama, but there prices are rediculous. i'd like to get Jerry W. to tune my truck also, but not sure when he'll be close by.
So í'd rather just get a tune from one of the top lightning guys.

Anyone In Tx?
Traveling is not a big problem, but i'd like to keep it near by this time (took the stang to Miami last time).

You might want to get in touch with James at Runnin With the Devil. his number is (251)694-1112. I think he is in MS also. He is the one who tunes my truck and he does dyno sessions on Fridays and maybe Saturdays not sure about Sats.

I am just letting you know because he is closer to you and he tunes my truck and does a pretty damn good job at it.

I used James for quite some time, GREAT TUNER and I consider
him and Ivan (USA HOOTERS) my friends. He tuned me into my first
12 sec pass way back in 02 using an open filter, 4lb lower his Chip
AND NOTHING ELSE. No TB, no FTVB, no Bars, no slicks, no nothing.............
12.8 @106 on F-1's with a schitty 1.9 60ft

Unfortunately he WOULD NOT tune for me once I went with the Nitrous.
I joked about it with him for quite some time, but he didn't have
alot of n20 tuning experience at the time, and I don't blame him for
not wanting to experiment on my L, AMOF I THANKED HIM and Ivan was
the one who sent me to Johnny (JLP)
I BELIEVE ??? he MIGHT now tune for Nitrous ??? Not sure though......

I will say this, as simple as a Nitrous tune is, there are also some
real important things you want to address, and you DEF want a tuner
THAT KNOWS NITROUS WELL. Our Supporting Vendor Terry can hook
you up too you know, he set up A LOT of Nitrous L's, and has n20 on
other Vehicles he owns.

I went with Johnny at the time because I already had 2 Diablo Chips,
and he's the Diablo Master in my opinion, BEST MOVE I EVER MADE.
And just for the record, MY TRUCK HAS NEVER EVER HAD A DYNO TUNE,
I've been racing it since I bought it in March of 02, and made over
500/600 with the Race Tested Kit and still haven't had a Dyno tune.

AMOF, Johnny's meeting up with me Saturday at English Town,
and I'm getting ANOTHER new Chip (Black Diablo this time)
What can I say, I love Diablo :D. Johnny's tunes have been FLAWLESS
for me, "off and on Nitrous". We MIGHT even plug his Lab Top in and
take it down the track and "record the run". Then we can see whats going
on ""IN THE REAL WORLD"". After that he would tweak it right there in the pits,
and I'd get A REAL CUSTOM TUNE :D
Of course he's there GOING FOR ANOTHER 9 sec run, so I have to give
him space and hope there's time to record my run on his equiptment.

Big weekend, just hope it goes my way........................

You have to decide on WHAT YOU WANT
If you want a SCT Chip, a SCT Tuner
A Diablo Chip, a Predator Tuner
That alone might narrow the list down, but personally I'd go with Terry
and or Johnny only because they both have A LOT of Nitrous Tuning
under there belt, and both run Nitrous on their L's

thanks guys, great info. i'd like to get a dyno tune, just to make sure everything is as perfect as possible. like we all know, all trucks are different. i'll give james a call first since he's in the area, then i'll go else where.

as far as sct vs diablo are concerned, it doesn't matter as long as the tunner knows what is going on, and how to do it!
