about it untill he did some real world testing (WHICH HE DID),

You know something, that was my first initial impression when I took it out of the box and installed it onto my Red Lightning, but while installing it and using the correct belt in the apllication, I still have between 3/8" to 1/2" travel on the factory Tensioner, to keep the added stress off the Supercharger Snout/Thrust Bearing & Seal in the housing from getting premature wear over time. This Idler Kit is the best mod I have added to my lightning, with running a 2 lb. DUB Upper Pulley Unit and a Fixed 4 lb. lower Crank Pulley combo , in picking up 1/2 lb. boost more, over what I had before. Hope this helps, as I do believe this is the best Preventative Maintenance you can do for your Lightning, with Upper & Lower Pulleys replaced for added performance.
