I bought this one owner f150 mystery box. The previous owner passed away and left no notes, paperwork and no extra parts. The story is he bought a rear wrecked lightning and swapped as much as possible into his extended cab. The wife said it knocks and it wouldn't start. It turned over freely so I bought it. Finally got it home and started. P0356 and P0358 so that's not terrible. No fluid in the intercooler or radiator overflows is suspect, oil is great. wiring is mom's spaghetti.

anyways, it's a different sort of project. I have no idea what year engine/lightning and what all parts are on it. magnaflow exhaust, bell-tech shocks. lightning guages all work except the odometer is blank/dark.

Wow, that sounds like quite the project you have on your hands! It's always a bit of a mystery buying a vehicle from someone who's passed away, but it sounds like you got a pretty good deal on it despite the unknowns. Those trouble codes aren't too bad, so hopefully, it's something that can be easily fixed. As for the engine and parts, it might be worth doing some research and digging to try to identify exactly what you have. Checking the VIN number and engine code might give you some clues. If all else fails, you could always take it to a mechanic and have them do a thorough inspection to figure out what you're working with. Best of luck with your project, it sounds like it's going to be a fun one!

Yeah, i'm going to take the blower off to do the turkey pan mod and thoroughly check out the plug threads. With all that out of the way I should be see some numbers on the heads.
