Hello, I just got a 2004 with 90,000 miles, only modifications are CAI, Ford Racing drop kit, cat-back exhaust. Im going to do a few maintenance things to make sure she's running to the best of her ability before I up the boost. I'm thinking of only going up 4 lbs of boost because she is my daily driver.

It had heavy 22"s when they bought it and could only find 01/02 style wheels to replace them. I'm saving up for 20" 03/04 style or center lines at the moment. Trying to budget myself is hard with this thing!

Thanks for the welcome guys!

Yes, SVTdriver SoCal can be rough for modifying cars but I have to deal with it, hopefully one day I won't.

Dustin, I've already been on your site a lot making wish lists, will defiantly hit you up soon.

Welcome to the brotherhood, I look forward to meeting you soon. Over the last couple of years the SoCal community has been growing stronger but its still not on-par with the glory days of yesteryear. We've been having an increasingly good turnout at the monthly JBA Speed Shop Coffee & Cars but we haven't had as many get-togethers this year as we did last year. All in all I think we're in an upswing which is encouraging.

BTW... your truck looks very familiar to Belle when I bought her is 2005.

I think we should change that and get some more GTGs going on don't you think, gives new owners like myself and others a chance to meet other L owners and gain some knowledge from you guys. Nice L btw lookin' good! :bigtu

Where are you located?

Keep an eye on the SoCal Regional Section, we post get together info. there. I'd like to have a get together 3-4 times a year. Last year we were pretty successful, this year not so much. Unlike last year I haven't pushed too hard for get togethers because I've had a lot going on myself. Here in SD we have the C&C I mentioned above, we also have the Race Legal event that we occassionally meet up at. The annual Fabulous Fords Forever event (April) usually has a solid turnout of guys from as far away as Las Vegas and San Fransisco.

I'm in the Long Beach area, but wouldn't mind making a trip somewhere for a GTG. Yeah I keep an eye out for the SoCal Regional Section and check pretty often, I would probably be up for making it to on of those events you guys have in SD if the turnout is good, about a 2 hour drive for me so not too bad. Fabulous Fords is one I am forsure not missing out on, I always miss it out and now that I own a Lightning it makes me want to go even more.

The last few GTGs were in Dana Point, Ontario, and near Pamona Raceway. The goal is to hit a spot central for all of us SoCal guys but usually its the same guys making the trek (which isn't bad, its a great group of guys) so its a little discouraging that we don't seem to get stronger turnouts with each GTG. I have seen a growth with the smaller events locally though so I'm confident our next GTG will be the best one yet.
