Well Guys and Gals, it is that time of the year again and yes this will be the 3rd Annual Lighting Strikes New England GTG, MOD Party and BS session.

This year it will be on Saturday October 17th
Location:
171 Mattakeesett Street
Pembroke, MA 02359

TIME
We will start promptly at 8:00 AM (OR WHEN EVER YOU DECIDE TO GET HERE.......MIKE)
We wrap up when ever the hell we fell like it.

I will supply the food and a stock of drinks. Weekend Eggs for the early arrivals (thanks to my wonderful wife) and Lunch will be Either deep fried ribs or the famous ribs from a Taunton MA BBQ Food truck (Sorry Josh no promises) and a variety of Smoked Wings, Beef and or Pork for sandwiches and MAYBE some Deep fried biscuits. Feel free to bring anything you like to add to the pile but it isn't necessary as there will be plenty of food.

As usual watch your speed and temptations to leave half of your tires on the local roads. The neighbors and local LEOs will appreciate it.

If anyone has questions on directions don't hesitate to contact me. MIKE, Don't take 495!!!!!!

I know there are a few of you that have attended in the past that no longer have your Lightnings, you are still invited to meet up with your friends.

I look forward to seeing everyone here for a great day of catching up and relaxing.

Do me a favor and post up if you are planning on coming so I can zero in on how much food to provide.

HOPEFULLY we will get around to the group picture quicker this year before many guys head for home.

Does 5 hours sound right heading from Vinnie's area? What is the deal with the ferry?

Jay, It took me 5 hours and 15 minutes from the hotel to my shop on my return trip Sunday. The GPS says it is 4.5 hours but with a couple of quick stops and a couple of slow downs it took 45 minutes longer. The trip down to Vinnie's with I 287 closed down was another story....8.5 hours.

Quickest route to Stan's from Union, NJ area & Route 22 would be Turnpike to Rt 80 to GW bridge, fly up Rt. 95 to Providence, then maybe 495 to 93 then 3 south? It's a ride for sure... but Stan, Jim, and a few others have made that trip to Vinnies several times. It's only 3-1/2 hours for me LOL. Except last week when it took me almost 6 hours. Last year Jeff [HTGSpecialties] drove his turbo Lightning all the way up from Fairfield Township near Cape May. That's an 8 hour ride LOL!

Guys, I am going to PM the MA and CT guys that have attended as well as the guys in the area that never seem to show up but if you have emails or phone numbers for those that have attended or haven't attended work on them to try and make it this year. We have a relatively large group up here but getting them off their couches is tough.

Not making any garuntee but I'll try to come. Says its about 5.5 hours from me. Might have to show up in the daily driver. I don't think I could stand to listen to my exhaust for 11 hours!
