There is a Wannagofast half-mile event at Heavens Landing Airstrip on Sept 12th I'm going to run at. Pretty broad mix of vehicles there and should be interesting to see what the truck traps at the half-mile mark.

I'm going to be running 19psi on C16. I've only ran it at 17 psi and 22psi in the quarter-mile before. 17psi gave me 11.2 @ 121mph on pump gas and 22 psi gave me 10.8 @ 125 on c16... Any thoughts on what it'll trap at 19psi on c16?

Does anyone know what 6400 rpms will trap with 3.73 gears and a 45 series tire on 18" wheels? My estimates from my 10-second pass say it'll be about 140mph but I dunno.

I cycle ice through the I/C system a couple times between runs and leave the pump off until I stage... that makes the biggest difference. Aside from that, a Trick I/C, Fluidyne H/E, 3/4" lines. I'll have it pull timing at 180.

reason asking is the amount of heat that setup is going to see in 2660 feet is going to play its toll.

how fast does truck hit 180* now think how long thats going to be to make a half mile

Yeah I see what you mean. I didn't get past 166 defF when I ran 22psi in the quarter. Ambient was high 70s IIRC. Not sure what charge temps everyone else sees at that power level, so nothing to compare it to at this point.

Forgot to mention, I am also spraying 756 ml/min of water/meth.

Yeah I see what you mean. I didn't get past 166 defF when I ran 22psi in the quarter. Ambient was high 70s IIRC. Not sure what charge temps everyone else sees at that power level, so nothing to compare it to at this point.

Forgot to mention, I am also spraying 756 ml/min of water/meth.
i run a 8lb lower/3.00 upper. I think it's around 20-21lbs. I hit about 161ish when i cross the line. I run a KC drag kit and spray 100% meth. No ice nor extended cool down. No fans while she is cooling down. That's with pump gas.

My 5th gear is very close tot he 4r100's over driver. I dont boost 5th via WOT. However i've ran out 4th multiple times on the back roads. I do around 143-145mph. The huge meth backfire when i let off is amazing lol.

I dont see myself every trying a longer pull. The charge temps and speed scares me.

The Wanna Go Fast events are amazingly ran. I went to one in VA and was quite impressed on how they ran. Made me wish I would have ran my car. Good luck, have fun and please share the videos and pictures

You're gonna have a blast. The higher RPM you make the 3-4 the better and don't be greedy with the spark, ease it in like a gentleman. :bigtu
Haha, yeah I may need to get with you about timing. I was amazed at how hard the shifts with my large stall converte when I shifted at 6400 rpms. Felt like a concrete truck hit me from behind.

Those are good results on that pulley combo. I'll be running a 3.2/8lb combo unless I can find time to swap in some BR7s. If I can, I'll run the 3" upper then.

I've heard about it for years and am excited to do something other than just quarter mile runs. Something different and it'll be pretty cool to see where I stand with the other cars there.
