The 8th digit of the vin being #3 designates a supercharged 5.4

I think he means the engine code. For example on my E63 AMG it is "M157" and my Hyundai i30N "G4KH". I don't know if it's different here in Europe than in the USA.

But if I remember correctly, the 5.4L 2V in F150 are all the same except of course Supercharger + accessories.
