I dont remeber but do you always have to clearance the oil pan for the rod bolts. Im using the stock oil pan with Manley rods.

Wow....I didnt even pay attention to that when I bolted up my brand new built motor.I havent even filled it up with oil yet and im starting to put things on it,it would suck if I have to pull it all apart again.

TTT I need to know also.

i did it hit so i took the pan back off and took the hammer to it now it clears. Now i have a new problem damn head stud broke so im going to order new set

Stroked motors will often have problems clearing stock oil pans. Sometimes stockpans can be made to work and sometimes they can't and an aftermarket pan and pickup will be required.

I guess I have to do this tomorrow....which way should I rotate the engine? I will be so pissed if I have to pull the motor out to do this....

I figured out why the crank didnt want to clear the pan has gotten smashed a little. Im going to take the short block and had the head stud taken out the block.
