Ported Eaton Blower, the latest Steigmeier port job and 3 hours of tuning on the Mustang Dyno.
From start to finish, I picked up 110ftlbs and 70hp.

A/F was 11.8 on the final tune (pictured) ... Max boost was 15lbs. [smilie=eek4.gif] 10lb lower, 2.7 upper. His head and cams eat up alot of volume, thats for sure.

Not bad for a Eaton blower huh? LOL

It hits the track Friday so we will see what happens.

Getting the most out of modified stock parts or cheap upgrades is everyone's dream, so definitely a great job. The acceleration times are what we all like so will be good to see what happens at the track.

Just seems weird to me 534 hp and only 591 for torque.
Almost looks like Cobra power numbers and not L numbers.

Comparing with other dyno sheets, the torque should be like 650 or something.

I've been trying to figure out the same issue with my truck too.

Two words... Mustang Dyno

HP and TQ numbers will be lower on a MD because it induces a load. Most dynojet models do not.

MD's also take into consideration the weight of the vehicle and parasitic losses.

From the ET's that the truck ran yesterday, I would say these MD dyno numbers are way more accurate than any dynojet numbers I have seen.

Its also better to tune with a MD, it will give you dead on tune for the given combination.

yup, I expected the hp and tq numbers to be lower on a mustang dyno...
but, I expected them to be both lower by the same percentage.

is the compression on the motor lower? or maybe the cams changing the power band so there's less torque down low?
high flowing heads?
