Hey guys,
I was running at island dragway nj last night and on my fourth pass of the night something went in the bottom end and blew a hole in the block and the oil pan. Both holes are about the size of a quarter. It happened at the very end of the pass at about 106 mph. Truck still starts. Only reason we tried to start it was the winch on the flat bed broke and that was the only option to get on the flat bed. Looking for any suggestions as to where to go for a new block/motor. L is an 01 with 62,000 miles. Basic bolt-ons, lower pulley, intake, tune, shift kit. Any suggestions or help would be very appreciated. Thanks!!!!!!!

Call JLP or JDM for a new built short block...
You will probably need to get the heads surfaced.
Get some ARP 2000 head studs while your at it.

Damn, looks like a hole from gun fire!

That's the reason I drag race rarely,, if became a new member of the VBC my wife would stop reminding me of that!

Best of luck!

Tony

Suggestion... I think that web site owner should have a small certificate and or small plaque stating that you are a new member
Of the dreaded VBC club!
