i got back around 11 last night. unfortunately i only made two runs.
the reason for only two runs, is that my mph seemed to be down by 3 mph. as stated in an earlier post, this is a different track, and haven't had good results in the past with the stang.
here are my runs:
run1 run2
r/t .436 .286
60 2.1 2.07
330 5.8 5.8
1/8 8.85 8.84
mph 80.94 80.78
1/4 13.747 13.744
mph 99.95 99.57
as you can see, my mph was way down from 102.95 on my previous runs. i shut it down after two runs, b/c i've learned from the past that my truck is very consistant on the times. on my previous runs, they were 13.6,13.4,13.4,13.4. and both times tonight they were 13.7's.
my tire pressure was at 20#'s, and they seemed to be hooking damn good. the first time i left at a role, and they didn't spin at all, i pretty much just stomped on it, and it hooked. the problem is, my 60' were terrible.
i'm thinking that with the stock power level, the 305 d/r's were just to much meat to turn over, witch netted me such a slop mph, in return a slow 1/4.
this time out i did a couple things different, the spare stayed on (couldn't find the lock), and i couldn't run it without the filter and intake, b/c the trucks rpm's would go up and down for some odd reason, unlike the previous times.
last night, i think it was around 65*, but was humid as hell, everyone's vehicles had water puddles on their hoods.....so i thought maybe the humidity was effecting how it ran, but the temp was nice and cool...
only things i've added since the last runs, were the 4" shackles, t/b's, and nitto's. i had the t/b's set touching the springs, would this have any effect? i'm thinking maybe if i moved them off 1/8", this would allow the spring to bend, and then, kinda sling shot me forward after touching the t/b's.
i'm not unhappy with my times, b/c like i stated b/f, the truck is and has always been consistant on times.
anyone got a theory?
