Has anyone done an alternator relocation?

I am looking to move my alternator for some additional clearance, but am unsure if any of the readily available relocation setups will work on the L. Any info is appreciated.

clearance for what?

As far as I know there isn't a good area to relocate it to unless you remove the a/c compressor

I'm adding a second alternator to my truck. Have to run flex-a-lite fans though for clearance.

Like stated above, other option is ditch ac.

what bracket are you using? I have seen the AC bracket delete, but I am not interested in eliminating the AC in Texas.
In the process of making one right now.

ALTERNATOR PLACED THERE FOR A REASON

OK, Alternator sits in center of motor for a reason it does draw a little heat but when you go to removing it and trying to place else where you are going to run into a lot of headaches you never dreamed of. It is already in an out of way place myself i would leave it alone. What are you expecting to gain??? You are going to use more space by moving it :bigtujust my .02 input. Thanks LIGHTNING FAST

just curious why you're trying to reinvent the wheel with a less than conventional s/c setup, than just one of the many options that's proven to work, and work extremely well? For a limited platform, we actually have a whole selection of blowers to choose from, why reinvent the wheel to something else when it's really a bolt on mod that you have a whole menu of choices to go with? Not like we have 1 blower option out there.
