2019 Tesla Model S - A Miracle Detailing - CQuartz Finest Reserve

A side note: although a "new car" it was totally covered in DISO.
DISO was noticed on the entire vehicle after the prep-wash was done.
This vehicle was not "right off the truck". I had been on the lot 3 months.

Paint Thickness: This was all over the board. I personally measure in microns.
This gives me larger numbers to deal with and I find the reference preferable.
On the hood alone I found large differences (within a foot) of 20 microns.

After a few different "test spots" (Tesla paints can be finicky)
This is the combo I used on this paint.

Correction:
Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate and Meguiars microfiber cutting disc.
Megs M101 in combo with Scholl's S2

Polishing:
Rupes 21 with a 5" backing plate and Rupes Yellow finishing foam pad.
Megs M210

Glass:
Panoramic roof, back glass, windows, and windshield coated (top of the car)
Carpro Fly-by-FORTE

Last Step Product (LSP):
Cquartz Finest Reserve ceramic coating

Please watch in 1080p with sound. (Feedback in reply appreciated) Vid w/iPhone6 1080p60fps

Where in south Florida are you? I’ll be down in West Palm Beach probably June or July, and my X3 could definitely use some love. The love bugs and butterfly splatter have done a number on the front end.

Despite all that work, one day it could be sitting in a parking lot, no one in it, and it could self immolate itself. I've read the horror stories on Zero Hedge about Tesla's self igniting, and when they do, they burn to the ground. Lithium fires cannot be put out easily. I read there that a lot of emergency responder crews are told, when an accident involves a Tesla, head away from it, not toward it.

You couldn't pay me to own one. There's no amount of money.

Meh, I'd lease a P100D in a second if they were under a grand a month. If it ignites, whatever. Thats what insurance is for.

I'm sure Tesla isn't the only car catching fire after an accident? How many Fords caught fire after an accident or even self combusted ? I Googled it & there were 168.000 vehicle fires in 2017, so half a dozen worldwide don't look to be that bad to me.

Difference is, Tesla's catch fire without being in an accident. They're just sitting there, in a garage or mechanic's lot, and BOOM, they burn to the ground. Not even turned on. Just sitting there, and "They're gone in a puff of smoke". Lithium fires cannot be extinguished like gasoline fires can. I've even read where some places, they tell their EMT's that if it's a Tesla fire, don't go near it. Once started, can't be stopped.

Couldn't give one to me.

LOLOLOL!!! Tesla's, "car battery", is literally hundreds and hundreds (seven to eight thousand I believe) of rechargeable AA batteries (18650's) plugged into the largest battery carrier in history. All it takes is for one of those AA batteries to pop and goo all over the terminals and it's short city. BOOM! Most pathetic excuse for a manufacturing company in history. Typical of modern US industry. All based on corruption and cheesy tricks. Heck, even Boeing is run like that these days. Face it folks, the USA IS a third world country.

Not taking away from the OP's fabulous cleaning job. It'll probably smell good when it goes up in flames! LOL!!

Who cares? It’ll still rip 99.99% of gas cars a new ass hole on the strip. That’s why I’d get one. Plus I have solar panels, so no cost to charge it. If it ignites, so be it. Insurance can total it and I’d get a new one.
