01-04 Grill on a 1999

I'm new to this forum and new to the Lightning world. The best part about buying an L that's 19 years old is that you guys have done a bunch of research and development over the years that is extremely valuable.

My question is probably a dumb one but I've been searching this forum and can't find the answer. Will the 01-04 lower grill bolt onto the 99-00 bumper? Don't want to spend the money only to find out it doesn't fit.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to LR!

I canít tell you positivity that itíll work but Iíd bet it does.
Whenever Iím not sure about an interchange I call the reputable salvage yard near me. They generally have very detailed info about which parts interchange(even lightning specific). Giving them a vin# may help them narrow it down. Burbon sure someone here knows and will chime in.

I don't know what the difference is, but when you go to LMR and browse their lower grills, they have two different part numbers. One for 99 - 00, the other for 01 - 04. I think it's just the appearance of them. The 99 - 00 is honeycomb, the 01 - 04 horizontal bars. Likely they are interchangeable.

Below is the link to the Lightning grill section at LMR.

But, yet, the Street Scene Speed Grill they sell is only listed as to fit 01 - 04. Hmmmm???

Yes, they fit. They're so expensive though. I just picked up black billet grilles. Same look, 20% of the price.
