intercooler fuse

2002 hd edition= Is it possible to look at the intercooler 106 location, 20amp fuse/relay and tell if it is bad like you can a regular fuse?

Sure it is a regular fuse, you can also check for power and ground right at the pump. You can swap out the relay with one of the others. Most of the time the pump is an issue, the brushes wear and loose conductivity, take a dead blow hammer and give the pump a couple taps on the side with the key on and see if it starts up, You know what they say, "if you can't fix it with a hammer it must be eletrical"!!!

always possible but not probable the old fuse got tired and died, but if not at least you are looking at a dedicated circuit with no other strays to it from the factory. I say this because one never knows what someone added. the fused wire goes directly to the 3 pin of the relay when on it exits the 6 pin and connects to white wire that goes directly down to the pump, Inspect for possible wiring harness damage or a shorted motor. I'm betting shorted motor.
