Weld wheel test fit

I’ve had lots of different wheel setups on my truck including race star wheels. Those wheels require lots of grinding to the rear calipers that being said. I thought I would’ve been in the clear with these 15x10 weld wheels well not so much. I had to do some more grinding to them. After some grinding and test fitting the wheels spun free and I painted my rear calipers. I just received my front wheels today I have to get the tires mounted to them.

With all the money you've spent elsewhere, why not a set of aerospace brakes? Or at least the JDM brackets

working with a budget. The only way I buy stuff is if I sell stuff. I sold my sportmachines wheels to buy these wheels. I don’t have deep pockets
wildtrklightning likes this.

Welds are on my wish list, those wheels look awesome compared to my cheap dark stars.

I really would worry about the integrity of the brakes if I had to grind any more off. It takes a lot of material off to fit race stars. I wouldn't want to yo any further

the race star wheels don’t look bad at all honestly. The problem with them is that everyone has them. I was fortunate enough to sell my sportmachines wheels and other wheels to afford these weld wheels. I’m still saving up for front tires lol I sold my barely used tires to buy my rear tires lol like I mentioned I work with a small budget

One of mine have failed once. It was very likely that I went too far with the grinding. It would lock up. I swore I'd never do that again, but finished doing a new set a month or so ago. I havent driven yet to see if they rub any or not. I sure hope they are good

What’s the weight difference between the welds, racestars and bogarts? Are the welds lighter than the bogarts or are you running them just to be different?

bogarts are still lighter but the welds are a tiny bit lighter than racestars I’ll try and get a weight of the welds

You have to grind more after it's been grounded for race stars? Wtf. That's just as dumb as aero space not clearing 15's. Tiny revision. Done.

If race stars were available at the time of design, it should of be tested before release imo.
