Which fuel rails?

Hey fellas. I’m at a local junk yard right now looking for rails with an adjustable regulator. Do the rails have to be from a 5.4 or can we use rails from a 4.6?

I found this out after I spent half hour pulling 4.6 rails. Seriously thought about taking them home and figuring out how I could mod the mounting tabs lol.Next junkyard over has no 5.4’s either.

Thanks for the response bud

I forget but the mounting tabs are longer on the 4.6 and the 5.4 has them shorter right? By longer I mean they make the fuel rails sit closer to the intake manifold, or more higher(away from the manifold).

While we are on this subject, is it the '95 thru '97 we want with the bolt on regulators?

I need to find one from a dry southern state that is not rusty. I live up north (Michigan) and most that I find are already rusty. The chrome does not seem to hold back the salty water. Anyone from a southern dry state offer any assistance?

Yes 97 or 98 5.4 rails. The 4.6's mounting tabs are taller because they bolt to the manifold much higher up. Thanks for the replys guys.
