Default The ultimate (hopefully) 3-link AirRide suspension build.

No I am not dead, or in rehab.

I know I have been off the radar for a while now, between work and this build I have been in another world, but I have made some progress and figured I'd share.

Bed off and all the hangers cut off, shocks and leafs removed....what a PITA

Ahh fabrication fuel....

leftovers anyone?

Temporary home for the bed.

Starting to clean up some of the rear frame.

The start of the plates for the 2 lower arm frame mounts.

Lower arm axle mounts coming together

Frame mounts mocked up, these will get fully boxed and bolted down with 5 5/8" grade 8 bolts.

Made a plate which bolts to the front hitch holes to hold the 5 gallon airtank and the pair of compressors. And if I ever need to I can still mount up the trailer hitch.

That's it until 4th of july weekend, if I don't spend next weekend with the girlfriend I will have to look for another when I finish the build, and that would realy suck, as she is the most understanding and sweetest person in the whole world.

I thought of that too, the plate will simply unbolt and the tank and pumps will all drop right down.

it was just my thoughts.. i used to work on minitrucks and it is all fun and games until you get stuck on the side of the road cause your compressor quit working and now you cant get to it......

my buddy got stuck and called me at 2 in the a.m. and i just so happened to have a scuba bottle with air in it and got him up in less then an hour.

just had to reroute some air lines...

are your air fitting compression or push and pull...

They are indeed enormous, but they need to be to get the proper geometry for an offset 3-link, and also will see retarded amounts of stress, so I went a little overboard in the name of safety, I will have my GF and other important people riding with me so I am not taking any chances.
