Default Street outlaw question

Saw my first episode I liked the show pretty cool stuff. Wanted to know if anyone knew how flip died and when?

He is known for making "Pimp Juice," a particularly good track prep from what I understand. He was a street racer and was one of the guys featured in Discovery Channels new tv show "Street Outlaws." He committed suicide in late May. It's unfortunate that some people's demons and hardships lead them to resort to such drastic and permanent measures.

Sseems kinda weird that they would host this meeting so early on a Friday. Guarantees no one from any distance will be there. I would have thought they would want lots of participation.

Just an FYI for anyone interested. "Farmtruck" is still going to be selling the compound. Formerly called "Pimp Juice" and now called "'Dat Juice"(legal issue)

See I had always thought that the farmtruck guy was the creator of pimpjuice. Now I know!

For any that know the show/people.. is it made up or "reality" like, or is that how it goes down? Seems made up some to me, but its Ok . Seems to be on the street..not a track for sure, but too much rubber laid down to be jumping from place to place..looks like something abandoned..no traffic anywhere in sight..which is a good thing.

What I'd like to see more is the red Silverado making 1000+ to the tire. Got much more respect for a vehicle like that vs pure race vehicles like mostly are on the show. Race car is a race car. I'd much rather see a vehicle that can run an impressive track time and then can drive wherever it wants to. Dedicated race cars are just that to me... street or track. Same for our trucks to me

Simple 370 Ls motor with mild cam and worked 317 truck heads. Pt88 with a crossover style turbo kit.
Isn't hard to make that kind of power from a Ls motor

Flip looks like the one guy from Amish mafia from Ohio

Pimpjuice legal issue was from the rapper Nelly as he said he had patent the word "pimpjuice"

Good luck getting that top fuel car to hook on the street. I know many of the guys that street race with the Midwest Street Cars crew and I am a member of their forum... they have had a top 10 list for many years. The racing you see if real, what they put on TV is closed down sections of road, airport runways, etc. But what you used to see if you watched any of BigRobs videos on YouTube are actual streetraces. The drama, well some is real... some is fake, the rest of it is taken out of context as there is much more video filmed than what can be shown in any single episode.

Many of these cars are 4 and 5 sec 1/8th miles cars that have been adapted/setup for the street, and some can hook up damn well. These guys don't "just" street race though. For years a lot of these guys have been hitting up our local track - ThunderValley Raceway Park. The actual street races that are setup are usually done in the industrial part of town, around 2-5am in the morning, they are very organized about it. If you guys want to know more about them check out the YellowBullet thread... many of the guys are on there. Or if you can still register on Midwest Street Cars -- that is their home forum.

^ makes sense and what I was expecting. Thanks for clearing that up. Nice cars no doubt..but like any other race cars ya see at the track..these guys have spent the time getting to know the vehicle and spent the $$ to do it. The story lines on the show seem made up some as u can tell. It looks as if the sections they run on are prepped to me. Likely using pimp juice as also mentioned. Id rather see the dd/sleeper style vehicles such as farm truck for an hour, but hey..this will work. Its the first street racing show out, even if it is a reality based show. Gives us something else to watch.. still big HP and drag racing

Yes, it is easy to make the HP with the L's, but still not cheap. I'd much rather see the newer vehicles like that over the chopped/gutted ones..old or new. Y'all can't tell me a semi dd/9-10 sec truck/car isn't more impressive than a stripped down and gutted one with a fake body on it running 8s

With the ls platform you can make 800rwhp on 93 octane and stock motor fairly cheap.. red truck doesn't have much into his motor to make that power.
