Default Motor fvcked up.

Well my motor decided to mess up today running down the highway. I think that I either have a burnt valve or a messed up piston ring. So I am now going to be installing a MP2 Mod-900 SB in a few weeks after get everything sorted out with my stock block.

I checked my plugs and it looks like I was running rich but none were flattened or any other mal-looking appearance. Sunday I will be doing a compression test to determine which piston's rings and/or valves are messed up. Wish me luck

Won't be fully sure until I get the motor apart. If it only fails a compression test on one side then I'll just pull that head to see what has happen to that head/piston.

No, I think that I might have pegged the meter?! My MAF volts were fine before i had the blower ported more. I should have datalogged it but hey what ya gonna do? anyways I have a MAFi.a. but I didn't install it so go ahead.

I was running her kind-of rich because of the timing I had in it, so a pegged meter is looking more and more likely a cause. The thing that gets me is that she just started to not pull anymore, I drove it to the shop carefully. It idles and has good fuel pressure. The cats were only at 530F so that ruled out a clogged cat?

I already checked them they look fine except for a little carbon buildup.

I was thinking maybe that but Ive done a plug change before and left a coil unplugged and it didn't run the way that it is now so I'm leaning away from that?

typically when they start to go out.....they show it in the upper RPM range and after they get hot.

You can sit there at idle and rev the motor and it wont miss but go out and drive her and when you put it under some heavy load it will start to miss

Its not a miss, it seams like something is running against the motor. I checked my oil level and its extremely low. I think that when I got on it hard it, the oil pressure dropped enough to let the timing chain jump. Don't know yet but tomorrow I will check valve timing and do the comp test and check everything else I can. Oh If I put in gear and hold the brake and give it a little throttle it starts to smoke out of the exhaust, so that leads me to think messed up piston again? But wondering why its not smoking out of the pcv though if I did mess up a ring or crack a ringland?
