Charge Air Cooler — Supercharged Engines

Quick down and dirty of Torque specs and sequence used when securing the SC to the lower intake manifold assembly.

2 6F089 Vacuum/actuator/valves
3 9H486 Upper intake manifold gasket
4 9424 Intake manifold
5 9J447 Lower intake manifold gasket
6 6K775 Charge air cooler assembly
7 9461 Lower intake manifold gasket
8 9M436 Charge air cooler gasket

NOTE: Tighten the retainers in two stages, in the sequence shown .[U]

• Stage 1: Tighten to 2 Nm (18 lb-in).
• Stage 2: Tighten 45 Nm (33 lb-ft)

The sequence noted above works great if you have the cab off the truck LOL...so in order to combat this sequence, seeing as how the last 4 bolts would/are near impossible to get to with the supercharger in place...

Just simply reverse the order of the sequence

11 - 2
10 - 3
9 - 4
8 - 5
7 - 6
6 - 7
5 - 8
4 - 9
3 - 10
2 - 11
1 - 12

TIghten the rear 4 down first then put supercharger on and tighten the rest... :banana2:
