The blue white stripe wire comes off the back of my deck doesnt go to anything. I used it as a remote but didnt work. My amp has a switch for use of remote wire or not. I have it off. Any drawback to not using the remote wire?

Blue is power antanna, no power when playing cd's. Blue with white is remote. If your amp has some kind of sensing, I guess you don't have to use a remote wire, but myself, I would much rather. If your remote wire is dead, you can use the red wire, switched.

The red wire in the back of your radio, the ignition wire. It will turn on and off with the key, but sometimes it will make a pop. As long as you are sure your amp is turning off, I wouldn't worry about it.

you can use a 400ohm resister on the line and it eliminate that pop.
