63 falcon sprint with a 5.4TT would be NUTS. We had one that sat in the shed for years, recently sold it to a guy that made it into a drag car. Every time I see it I wish we had it back. You'd have to Mustang II the front end, but it seems like more and more kits are available for that every day.

Something like this..

A cool custom 1960 Chevy Impala 2dr coupe (actually a Biscayne customized into an Impala). Just put together for GoodGuys Columbus. This car is a great deal for someone, here's what's been done... Engine completely rebuilt, 4 bolt block with SCAT stroker kit and LS rods, flat top pistons, new 2.02 Trick Flow heads, Edelbrock Endurashine intake, and new Demon carb. Trans is a 700r4 completely rebuilt with 2,300 stall, 4:11 posi rearend, drop suspension system (front and rear) with drop spindles and disc brakes up front. Air ride equipped with 4 corner control. New 20" rims and tires. All new wiring, All new brake system, All new fuel system components, new glass, new weatherstripping, new gauges, bumpers rechromed, bright work either new, polished or rechromed, custom 2001 Caddy interior with brand new interior panels and carpet. Car was painted in June and is 2001 Caddy Diamond White Pearl paint. The body is solid with a new one-piece floor, new trunk and quarters. Not a bondo patch job. . . all metal! Car is originally a Biscayne model with custom touched such as Impala moldings, Impala taillights. Custom vinyl top installed. Car runs and drives beautifully no issues, does not overheat! Drove it to GoodGuys beginning of July.

I'm not brown so I would feel out of place driving it. Also I see them all the time at car shows.

I like 63's the best. They came in 2 different versions in 63, the normal top and the fastback. I think the "futura" and the "sprint" are the fastback versions, there could be an exception to the rule and i might be wrong though. The earlier years like the 60-62 are a little more bubbly in the roof, in my opinion those years look the best as drag cars. 64's and 65's are nice little cars too, in 66 they kind of turn into the ugly step child.

What about a '67ish Fairlane GT500? That would be nasty with a boosted mod motor.

67 Ford Galaxy, been working on a couple in recent years. Reasonable room for options came factory with 3 Link suspension. Good car for cruising and lots of fun with some power and custom work to the suspension.

Wow I have a 65 Futura also. It is in the barn burried. I was back halving it into a pro street car and when my son, now 17 was born I stopped working on it for financial reasons. I am working on an early bronco now but the Falcon is next.
