Expy lightning swap help

Hi I'm trying to do the Lightning blower swap on my 98 expy. I know there are lots of posts about this but they are all old I thought starting a new post would be easier.
I have a question about the pcm side of things? It's a factory 5.4 4x4 e4od box I believe. Now will my pcm run this setup with a tune or will I need a pcm swap to a newer type. Being a 98 pcm will a sct x4 tuner even connect and tune? also what are the differences between 98 and 99 pcm's just for knowledge. Thanks

the sct devices should be fine as long as they have the correct firmware, several folks have gone this route in the past

Thank you. So when I buy one I will let the vendor know it's for a 98 and all should be cool. It would probably be best to ask in the tuning area but who does email tuning or who would be best to use?
