Electric fan info needed

Does anyone know what fan is used in the JDM/LFP style fan kits? It looks like a Mark IV fan but Iíve never seen a plain round Mark IV fan usually they are in a square shroud.

I want to build something similar for my Gen 1 with a Stock shroud.

Not sure what fan they use, but it looks like a Mark VIII. Typically the Mark VIII fan gets all that extra plastic cut and ground off, then mounted in the factory shroud with some aluminum tabs like shown in the pic.

Electric fan

Another source is the late Crown Victoria/ Mercury shrouds at the local salvage yards. The replacement electric motors can be obtained from NAPA. Cutting the shrouds to fit is no big deal. I have the 2 speed style adapted to my 67 FORD XL in the original 67 shroud.
Also if you happen to see a X Crown Vic police car 95-97, they had a 1 speed electric fan inside the shroud that also had the engine driven fan.

I highly doubt JLP/LFP/JDM all cut/ground off the square Mark viii flange as well. I'll try and look at mine for the PN next time I dig it out, I think it's in the bed of my truck. I know it's got a sticker on it that says "4.6L" in big letters.

it's definitely a ford fan as they have a sticker on them that says 4.6L in big letters, then finer print with probably the pn & whatnot. I just remember the giant 4.6 sticker.

I have 2 of them, I'll try and find my 2nd one in the basement somewhere. WIth moving I'm still finding where I stuck all my crap at haha

I remember reading it's a 4.6 mustang gt fan. Call JDM/LFP and ask.

There's no way id put a junkyard fan in my truck again. It's best to use OEM and new. However, im back to a clutch fan and absolutely love it and have no intentions of going back.

To put a supercharger on a gen 1 the belt will hit the clutch fan so you either have to space it way out (which kills the waterpump) or go to an electric fan.
