Long block value.

I'm in the market for a long block not entirely by choice but purchased the 02 L with 180k on the clock and intended to go built eventually anyways. Even though I check my plugs every oil change the inevitable happened on the way home from work the day I was planning on putting it away for the season. Now I have all winter to freshen up the mill. I'm interested in my long block options and if there are any specials on at the moment for members. Currently looking at JLP, JDM and BG. But that is not cast in stone. I'm hoping I can get something under 10k. My long term goals are to stick with a ported Eaton around 6-8lbs of added boost, long tube/cat back. The truck currently has a 2lb upper, EGR delete, and an SCTx4 tune. Open for criticism.

Sir,
I checked with JDM about a month ago and an iron long block was about $9100.

JLP usually has a Christmas special on shortblocks, you can easily add the heads/cams/etc. and order it as a full longblock and come in around 8k and change.
