Power Tour

If you are asking about the Hot Rod tour I have been on 2 of them. Figure on a $1.00 a mile on expenses. Meeting up with the Hot Rod staff is also a plus, they are real people and I am sure you will agree if you participate. Thom Taylor is a staff photographer who is a FORD guy who posted pictures of my 67 XL in Baton Rouge on the 15 tour which is still there. My wife & I long hauled the 2010 from here to Iowa, 2800 miles round trip. The only down side is that when you end the day at the designated rally point the place will be filled up with the locals who take up the close parking spots. The other thing is it is usually hot wherever the stopping points will be. Also I wish would be to limit it to 10 year or older vehicles. All you wil see is new Mustangs, mopars, camaros etc.
If you go I am sure you will have a good time. Good luck

^^ What he said - a bit of expense, but fun. Went on the long haul last year with my 01 and had a blast, but the heat at the venues was terrible along with the big crowds of locals. The organizers do their best to keep the route away from main interstates and cruising through small towns is a hoot with all the people lining the streets cheering you on - even get people spraying water on the streets to get drivers to do burnouts.

It's something that everyone should do at least once just for the experience - been there, done that, got several t-shirts (hats, stickers, banners, etc) and made a bunch of new friends.

I'm going too. First timer as well. Expect it to be a GRAND experience ! Driving a unique, only one of five Lighting on the HRPT.
